UCDSB Students Create Virtual Masterpieces Through Song Collab Studio

August 9, 2023 (Brockville, ON) – Throughout the 2022-23 school year, and recent Summer Learning Program, the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) worked with Patrick Artists' Song Collab Studio to enable and enhance student projects.

Classes created original music and songs, animated stories and videos, all while opening students – and teachers – up to new ideas and experiences in literacy. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 collaborated on projects that have been released on platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube.

As part of the UCDSB's commitment to real-world learning, this partnership ensures that student projects reach audiences beyond school walls, showcased the learning taking place, and the imaginative and creative spirits of those involved.

During the school year students created over 200 original pieces connected to larger projects. The summer program highlighted this work to reflect on the success of our students’ creative spirits, this partnership, and real-world learning.
